Ruby, you're so dirty

No, not the cardboard-flavoured blogger that we've all come to know and love, I'm talking about Ruby the red Civic. Driving in a clean, detailed, vinyl-treated, shiny tire vehicle makes so much difference. Especially on a sunny spring afternoon. What I like to do when I pull up to an intersection with our clean car is to look over at the cars beside me. If a car isn't clean, I'll look it up and down, grimace in disgust, and if I'm lucky enough to catch the driver's attention, I'll shake my head and drive off.

We'll, it's never happened before, but it might happen. Honest!

Aaaaahhhh...

Much better. Now, I'm ready for the playoffs. Let's go Raps!!!

Raptors 97, Bulls 107

I fell asleep at the start of the third, and woke up close to the end of the fourth. We were losing. And then we lost.

Talk about scared about the playoffs. Maintain faith, Raptor fan, I hear it works for them religious types.

Raptors 91, Heat 75

If there's one title the Raptors won't own for 2007-2008, it's "league's worst team". As frustrating as it's been watching .500 basketball this season, at least we're better off than Heat fan. He's sitting in his mother's basement, with his 2006 world champions hat, realizing that Miami management mortgaged their future in order to provide him with his hat. Antoine Walker, Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O'neal ... all gone.

If the Raps ever lost to the Heat, I would have flipped out.

Raptors 84, Pistons 91

How embarrassing ... I wonder if you search my blog, how many times "How embarrassing" matches a Raptors post. The Raps, fighting for playoff seeding, lose to the Pistons' second unit.

Frig

I haven't blogged about the Raps last 3 games. Must ... finish ... what I started...

Raptors 113, Nets 85

Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks! Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks!

Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks! Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks!

Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks! Let's go Raptors! VC Sucks!

Raptor fan hopes that the team has figured things out, as we enter the final stretch before the playoffs. More wins means securing the 6th seed and an opportunity to play the much-more-likely-to-beat Orlando Magic. More wins means more momentum. More wins means less angry blog posts. And really, isn't that good for everyone?
  • I'm very pleased with Andrea Bargnani taking it to the basket. 9 trips to the line matches CB4's effort.
  • Carlos Delfino, thanks for showing up! I wish you would show up for more games, though, we could have used you when we were losing to crap-tacular teams like the Knicks and Bobcats.
  • If TJ Ford completed that alley-oop from AP, I would have gone absolutely nuts.
  • The Nets this year look like the Raptors - before we traded Vince Carter. That's what you get!
  • Whenever Jamario Moon attempts a three, I cringe.
We play Detroit tomorrow. We beat them before, can we beat them again? I will start holding my breath now, in spite of those that tell me not to hold my breath.

Raptors 111, Bucks 93

Raptors win! And I was at the ACC too! And I spent the whole day with my newborn nephew! Life is good.
  • At one point, Charlie V had 27 points, and the Bucks as a team had 33. Please! Somebody! Stop this guy! Stop him!
  • JK's shot was on. Why can't he do that every night?
  • I was able to bust out my Raptor flag. I was nervous waving it the first time, cuz I didn't want to fuck up.
  • My nephew Logan is a cutie. I'm in love ... Took the whole day off to hang out with him.
  • I don't have time to explain shit to you Mona. The game's on!
  • I love Rasho's game.

Raptors 111,

Raptors 90, Nets 99

I decided to take a break from the Raps, and according to Dooch, it was a good idea. I have no analysis. I don't understand what's going on. I don't know who these people are.

Consistently inconsistent.

Raptors 100, Bobcats 105

Today was a great day. I ran my 6th Spring Run-off 8K race at High Park (Thanks Harry Rosen!), and despite absolutely no cardio in the weeks (and months) leading up to the race, I was still able to finish. For my efforts, I received many the award, including bagels, soup, gatorade, a hat, a t-shirt, and even a medal!

Wait a second ... what does this have to do with the title of my post? It's to assure you that I'm not all about telling you the same old fucking story day in and day out. I like to give you guys some fucking good news every once in a while. No more 24/7 depressing shit!

Oh yeah, Raptors lose again.

Raptors 120, Hawks 127

Embarrassingly, I fell asleep around the 7 minute mark in the fourth quarter. I didn't wake up until there was about a minute in overtime. I was so fucking confused: Why are we in OT? Shouldn't we have won by now? Then I saw Josh Smith hit a crazy-ass 3 ball. Then I saw a replay of TJ Ford's layup. Then I saw TJ Ford's lax D when Bibby hit the game tying shot.

What. The fuck. Is going on!!!!

If I saw all of this live, I would have likely destroyed half of my house. And poked myself in the eye. What a disaster!

Sure, the Hawks are hot, and the Bibby trade is paying big dividends for this rag-tag group of youngn's. But you don't give up a double digit lead when you're the Raps. And you don't give up all of these open 3-balls to a team that has Mike Bibby and Joe Johnson. Come on guys, give us something! We're dying here!

As for the Craplanta scorekeepers, if I find out where y'all live, I'm going to eat a whole bunch of eggs, and then take a crap on your front porch. This is fucking bullshit!

Lastly, Kudos to Rasho Nesterovic and Andrea Bargnani for their terrific offensive outputs. Offense has never been our problem. But our defense ... c'mon Raps, please, play some fucking D!

Raptors 104, Bobcats 100

I was at work from 9am on Sunday until 3am Monday morning. Rough times, right? Well, what was more rough was my body crashing on Monday night while I tried to stay awake and watch Raps-Bobcats. I really only watched half of this game, and I can't remember the other half, so I'm just glad that the Raps came away with the W.

Oh yeah, and Carlos Delfino leads the league in missed dunks. WTF?
